KC's Story

As many of you know, KC was injured in a football accident this past fall.  I thought I would post a few of the pictures from his First and Last football game of the season.

KC is #34 - doesn't he look great with the ball!

The "BAPTISM"

Christmas is over and we are on to the next big event.  The Girls Baptism!  For all those interested, it will be on their 8th birthday, January 15th 2011 at 10am.  They can hardly wait!   We will have a gathering here at our house following the baptism and all are invited to stop by, grab a bite to eat and mingle with crowd.

It's amazing just how much the girls have changed over the past few years.  They are growing up so fast.  With a winter birthday, most of their professional pictures have been taken indoors.  Since I really wanted to have some outdoor photos, we took their baptism pictures this fall in Uncle Don's backyard.  It was the perfect backdrop for some georgous photos' of our three little princesses.

 Kiersten Rebecca
Kiersten was adventrous enough to get on a rock right by the water......this was taken from above.  I love it!
This is one of my favorites of Alexis - she looks so grown up!

I love the bottom of Madi's dress.......the tule is so fun and makes her feel like a princess.

Madi was just walking across the bridge when we turned around and it turned out to be a great photo.

Kiersten LOVES to pose......

In this photo, the girls were coming down the stairs to the bottom of the waterfall.  They looked like three little angels!

This is Kiersten's dress.  She LOVED the bottom and the way it "poof's" when she twirls and sits down.

Here is the picture you don't always see.....Daddy carring the girls out into the water and putting them on the rocks.  I'm sure you wondered how they got there.

Alexis

I love this one.

Here is Alexis doing tricks on the rope swing.  She is aobut 20 feet in the air.

Kiersten wanted her turn too!

This was a candid shot of Kiersten running down the hill.  It's one of my favorites that we took that day.

The H. Thayne Johnson Family Christmas Party

After Christmas we got together with Dad's family for a party.  It's been a long time since we have all been together.  We loaded everyone into our van (all 15 seats filled) and headed up to Kevin and Elizabeth's new home.  Matt and Kristin joined us as we passed Lehi.

We had a great time eating and enjoying each other's company.  Everyone brought "pot luck" sides and desserts and we ordered pizza.  After eating, Unlce Kevin led us in some good old fashion family Christmas games.

Check out Uncle Kevin talking with his hands.  I always wondered where I got that from.

There was the eating of marshmallows......

And the "sucking" of M&M's with straws!

Who knew that UN-rolling crepe paper could keep us all entertained.......

We took the opportunity while we were together to take some family pictures.

This is DAD (Curtis), Aunt Darla, Aunt Terri and Uncle Kevin.
Uncle Brian wasn't there that night.

These are the "cousins" or Grandchildren of H. Thayne Johnson.
We are all grown up now, and have kiddies of our own.

And last, but not least, all of our off-spring.
The GREAT-grandchildren of H. Thayne and Iris Johnson.

It was a wonderful evening.  The kids all had a great time, re-connecting with one another.

The best one liner of the night came from Kiersten.......

"I love Uncle Kevin.  He is just like a younger, more fun Grandpa!"

That being said, I guess there is more to genetics than we would like to admit.
The Great-grand kids who have not been around each other much, really picked up on the similarities between the cousins and Aunts & Uncles.

We hope to get together more often in the coming year.
